Jim Irsay dies at 65: NFL Community mourns the owner of Colts

A private memorial will be held for Colts owner Jim Irsay, June 2 in Indianapolis, announced the team on Wednesday.

Information on public tax for Irsay will be announced later, according to the club.

Irsay, who was leading the right to vote since 1997, died at the age of 65 on May 21. His impact on Indianapolis and the entire league was found following Irsay.

Irsay became the youngest manager in the history of NFL when he took on the role in 1984, 25 years old. Irsay took over as the team’s main owner in 1997 and saw the Colts in the finals 16 times, winning two AFC championships and one Super Bowl while he worked.

The Colts announced on Tuesday that the team would wear Jersey Patch’s signature that honored Irsay throughout the NFL period 2025.
