On the 74th anniversary of Pete Carroll, the Las Vegas Raiders folded eggs.
Raiders could not find Paydirt in a 20-9 loss on Monday night for Los Angeles chargers, constantly sputter, but creates 218 meters, few explosives (three over 20 plus meters) and no vision of sustainability.
No. 6 Overall Pick Ashton Jeanty is slowly out of the gate. After 38 yards, one-td output in week 1, the race again saw only 11 totes on Monday and reached 43 meters with a long time 13. During the season, Jeanty is an average of 2.7 meters per capacity for two weeks.
After the loss, Carroll warned patience with novice.
“We’re just getting started (with Jeanty),” Carroll said through the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “He is breaking into the NFL. He is calculating it out. He will get more loads. We have to run the ball more effectively. We only got (68 meters) and that’s not enough. We need more than that.
A running game that was expected to be the engine in Raiders’ violations was anything but against the chargers. Vegas handed the ball off only 14 times and Geno Smith tried 43 shipments. It is not a balance that Chip Kelly’s offense will succeed by progressing.
The O-line has had difficulty opening holes through two games, but Jeanty showed some newcomer struggles on Monday. He went wrong in one delivery and missed a closing project on one of three chargers. There were some flashes in his limited contact, but they were few and far in between.
“Last week it was for me, I did not do a good job of reading the plays. I will put it back this week,” Jeanty said. “Could have broken for bigger on some running and O-line did their things. I just have to continue to get better so I can be a change of game for us.”
He added: “Just getting used to the speed, honestly. Last week felt like I was moving a little slower, this week felt better. Still not there, but when that happens it will be good.”
Through two games bound 30 -year -old Jeanty in 13th place among running backs. 81 Ropes his Gardens are the features of all players with at least 30 totes.
Back-to-back has difficulty opening the season market for the first time Jeanty has had fewer than 45 rush meters in consecutive games since 2022, his newcomer season in Boise State.
