It’s a devastating loss for the Packers, as Kraft has 32 receptions for 489 yards and six receiving touchdowns, the latter two leading the team through eight games.
The 24-year-old was well on his way to career bests, posting 50 catches for 707 yards and seven TDs in 17 games last season.
Luke Musgrave may be called upon for a bigger role in the passing game as he has only nine catches for 88 yards so far. There’s also the possibility that general manager Brian Gutekunst looks to make a move before Tuesday’s trade deadline, but the Packers won’t be able to trade for Kraft’s talent.
A rare big-play machine at tight end who was a yard-after-the-catch monster, Kraft now looks to 2026 to return, but the 2025 Packers (5-2-1) will have to move on without him.
