NFL Network: Giants QB Jaxson Dart addressed the team at the meeting to discuss the introduction of President Trump

Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart addressed teammates in a meeting Wednesday to discuss his introduction to President Donald Trump at an event last week in Suffern, New York, according to NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.

Rapoport added that veterans Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux and Jameis Winston also spoke at the meeting as the team worked to put the issue behind the team and move on. ESPN.com reported that among the topics discussed at the meeting was keeping matters “internal” and not making them public.

Dart’s appearance at an event last Friday for New York Rep. Mike Lawler prompted a social media response from Giants pass rusher Abdul Carter.

“Thought it was AI, what we do man,” Carter wrote Saturday in a post on X that has since been deleted.

Carter’s public comments drew attention over the weekend, but he later posted that he and Dart were “good.”

“We used to talk as humans,” Carter wrote on X, per ESPN. “Everyone can keep all narratives.”

Offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor also posted on social media Saturday that “the locker room is fine.”

Dart and Carter were each selected by the Giants in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Dart, the No. 25 overall pick, started 12 games for the Giants last season, throwing for 2,272 yards and 15 touchdowns with five interceptions.

Drafted third overall, Carter made 43 tackles with four sacks in his rookie campaign.
