The 2026‑27 season launches on Oct. 20, and a handful of NBA clubs still need to fill two‑way roster slots.
Our two‑way contract tracker reveals each of the following teams carries a single vacancy.
- Boston Celtics
- Houston Rockets
- Los Angeles Clippers
- Milwaukee Bucks
- Philadelphia 76ers
- Sacramento Kings
- Washington Wizards. Will any of these clubs secure a deal before the season tip‑off?
Boston lists Devin Carter, Milos Uzan, Tucker DeVries, Hayden Gray and Gabe McGlothan on Exhibit 10 deals that could become two‑way contracts. Carter, a former lottery pick, impressed in his preseason debut, and coach Joe Mazzulla lauded the ex‑Providence standout during camp, per Noa Dalzell of CelticsBlog.com.
His humility to show up and his openness about his past and goals—plus his competitive edge—stand out, Mazzulla said. He’s transparent about wanting to succeed, and I value his mindset, his drive, the chip on his shoulder,
Carter thanked basketball operations chief Brad Stevens after Thursday’s win for the chance to join Boston, but an illness kept him out of Saturday’s triumph over Philadelphia (Twitter link via the Celtics).
Rockets coach Ime Udoka said Houston is eyeing four or five prospects for its vacant two‑way slot. Notably, Oscar Tshiebwe and Julian Phillips already hold Exhibit 10 contracts.
Two‑way players will earn $678,882 in 2026‑27, exactly half the rookie minimum, and each NBA roster may hold up to three such contracts. For my money, that salary makes these spots especially valuable for fringe players.
