Parsons also immediately had an effect on Sunday with pressure on his first click and later rush that led to GOFF interception in the Red region. Parsons said he could have been even better – Dallas would not have pulled his feet into business.
“There is something where I could have been with these guys to get better and better and we could have (an) still a dominant start,” he said.
Parsons wasn’t even sure to play in week 1, limited all week during the back injury he took on the Cowboys training camp.
Parsons played 29 out of 65 Green Bay defense, which Lafleur said was “certainly higher than what we expected.”
That some of the best representatives of Parsons Sunday came against the Lions All-PRO tackle Penei Sewell made their debut even more elegant. In the NFC East, Parsons’s best games often came against Lane Johnson in Eagles. Now Parsons believes Sewell will be his new opponent in measurement.
“I’m not going to get rid of him,” Parsons said of Sewell, In sports. “He’s a hell of a player. I told him, I said,” You’re my new competition now. I’m not (have) Lane (anything) more. It will be you. I am (intend) to see you twice a year, so you could just as cool. “
But what Parsons seemed to enjoy the most was his new team. After a chronic and very public contract with the cowboys and the owner Jerry Jones, the Parsons said he was just happy to be where he wanted.
“These guys took me. They believe in my talents,” said Parsons. “They believed in me and I’m just going to give these guys everything I have because I know what’s at stake and I know what they gave up for me to be here and I’m (I’m going) to do what we need to do.”
