Green Bay finished in third place in NFC North and went alone and made in the aftermath, leading to some asking if team manager Jordan Love has what it takes to lead Packers over the bump. Last week, coach Matt Lafleur rejected the idea that love has drawn back from 1 year to 2. Year as a full -time starting team.
Lafleur cited Love missing two full games early in the season and put out part of two others for why the statistics could not have been as good.
“I think it’s like a story out there for whatever reason he wasn’t as productive as the year before,” Lafleur said through the sport. “Well, he missed a lot of time. He missed the better in three games. Really, it was Indy. It was Tennessee. He went out to Jacksonville and then he went out to Chicago.
“So there are other circumstances that play into it. I think all in all, though everyone will be better.”
Love ended with 3,389 meters with 25 eg and 11 Int and finished 63.1 percent of its consignments in 8.0 ypa in 15 games in 2024. QBR ESPN would back up the idea that counting Statistics Love does not tell a whole story, as he earned 69.3 QBR in 2024 and 62.9 in 2023.
The drops, as Lafleur points out, also played the role. The packages lowered 26 of the 458 Consignment Love, per Pro football focus. The 8.3 decrease rate was the second highest among players with at least 400 Dropbacks-on behind 9.6 Aaron Rodgers.
Like his coach, Love released the perception that he withdrew in 2024.
“I mean, what is a step back is what I would ask?” Love said. “You know what I mean? Everyone has different opinions, like that. You have to block that topic. It’s all about the team’s goals at the end of the day. I would say we won more games than we did the year before. That’s why I ask people, what is a step back?
“As I said, everyone has opinions, like that. Try to block it and focus on making me and being the best player I can be, as I’ve talked about and keep on. But at the end of the day, personal numbers, stuff, it’s all in the back. You have to focus on the goals.
The heat on the Packers QB is always going to be afraid. Love replaced a four -hour MVP who won the Super Bowl in his third year as a starting team. It comes with increased pressure to be perfect out of the gate. The final matches of Matthew Golden and improved offensive lines in the first place and improved the offensive line put love in a position to silence these questions and doubts in 2025.
