Louis Rees-Zammit, Jaguars, probably returned to Rugby after 'one to two more years' in addition to trying to do it in nfl

Plenty of pomp and situation followed the entry of Welsh Rugby player Louis Rees-Zammit in the NFL world.

However, it has not been an easy trip as Rees-Zammit is still playing in the NFL game since joining the Kansas City Chiefs in the spring of 2024 and later Jacksonville Jaguars.

Thus, Rees-Zammit has laid a deadline of types in his football situation before he is probably on his way back to Rugby.

“International players probably get two to three years to get it in the NFL,” said Rees-Zammit of Jags in a recent interview with Hawksbee and Jacobs Talksport. “So I wanted to do it at a time when I might come back to Rugby.”

The 24-year-old Rees-Zammit formerly represented Wales and won the six nations in 2021 and played for the British and Irish Lions. Since the NFL international player led him to sign with Chiefs, Rees-Zammit pointed out that he had achieved everything he wanted in the world of rugby.

Now it doesn’t seem to be the case.

“I’m 24 now, probably got another to two years to try to do it depending on how this year goes,” he said. “I will be 25 years old, 26 when I go back to Rugby. I still feel I can play at the highest level.”
