Sergio Gómez looked dejected after the draw in Belgium. He said the side deserved more, came close to a second goal, but European nights demand early kills. He admitted the late concession hurt, yet overall the performance was positive.
The left‑back acknowledged the attack lagged, but the squad still believes the European target is within reach. In my view, their resilience will be the deciding factor. He noted missed chances in the final minutes and promised to fight for the goal in the remaining six games.
Now the focus shifts to Sunday’s league clash, where they aim to widen the gap on rivals. Can a win in Málaga lift them into the top six and keep the momentum alive?
