Boca supporters learned which section of the revamped Roberto Meléndez stadium in Barranquilla will host them for the 2026 Copa Sudamericana final against Brazil’s Atlético Mineiro. The team also disclosed the downtown hotel and the pre‑match training venue for the “Other half of glory”.
Atlético Mineiro will be listed as the home side, having earned the top seed. Due to dressing‑room logistics and travel arrangements, Boca will take the B‑team slot.
The Xeneize squad will stay at the Estelar Alto Prado, a short walk from the Gran Malecón along the Magdalena River, where throngs of local and Argentine fans hope to snap photos or grab autographs. It will also host the pre‑final flag‑raising ceremony.
The final is set for Saturday, 21 November, with kickoff time yet to be announced. Teams may arrive in Barranquilla from Thursday afternoon, 18 November. Boca will train at the Colombian Football Federation’s sports complex in the Norte Centro Histórico district.
Conmebol will open ticket sales for the Boca‑Atlético Mineiro showdown on Monday, 26 October, at 8:00 a.m. Colombian time. The North stand is allocated to the Jugador Número 12 supporters.
Pricing tiers, seat availability and the per‑person ticket limit will be disclosed when sales launch. So far, interested fans can only sign up for updates, a step that does not guarantee a reservation.
Purchases must be made exclusively through the official platform, as advised by the governing body. Conmebol warned against unauthorized sellers, rogue websites and illicit channels.
The rollout will outline dates, phases and conditions for both finalist supporters and the general public. An official Fan Fest will also run alongside the match, offering activities off the pitch.
Category 1 seats in the West stand are projected at USD 240, roughly COP 765,000. A VIP Category 2 option may be offered for USD 200, about COP 640,000.
Category 3 tickets could hover around USD 105 (≈ COP 335,000), while Category 2 would sit near USD 160 (≈ COP 515,000). These figures are estimates prepared late in 2025 and have not been officially confirmed.
The bulk of the East stand will fall under Category 2 for general admission. North and South sections, classified as Category 3, will be split between Boca and Atlético Mineiro fans.
A portion of the West stand will be shared by both supporter groups, with another slice reserved for the public after allocating areas for sponsors, officials and club executives. Conmebol has not yet specified the maximum tickets per buyer.
The final will feature four Colombians: goalkeeper Álvaro Montero and winger Sebastián Villa for Boca, midfielder Kevin Castaño and striker Mateo Cassierra for Atlético Mineiro. For my money, their presence adds a thrilling local storyline.
Montero started every Boca match in this campaign. Villa logged minutes across eight games, though he was not a regular starter, ESPN noted.
Castaño joined Mineiro mid‑season and started all four knockout games from the quarter‑finals onward. Cassierra appeared in nine tournament fixtures, but a recent muscle injury sidelined him for the semifinals.
