Kenneth Walker III on future with Seahawks after Super Bowl LX: 'I would definitely stay'

Walker describes his running style as “explosive and versatile.” His ability to break ankles in phone booths and run through arm tackles has been evident in 2025. The 25-year-old has shrugged off some of the negative plays that plagued him through his first three seasons. According to Next Generation Stats, his rushing percentage is a career-low 19 and he had a career-high 739 yards after a touchdown.

Kubiak said he thinks Walker’s fit in the offense is ideal going into the offseason, noting the team hasn’t even fully utilized him as a pass catcher to the extent OC believes it could.

“We were really excited about him. He thought he was going to be a really good zone runner,” he said. “And the really great quarterbacks, in my opinion, can catch. And that’s what Ken can do. He’s got great hands. He can run routes. He can affect the game more than just giving the ball away.”

Set to become a free agent in 2026, there were questions about Walker’s future in Seattle at the start of the season. RB said he didn’t approach the season like he had anything to prove.

“Just playing the game,” he said. “I feel like if you try to prove people, people are going to have something to say anyway, you know what I’m saying, if you do good or bad. So I can’t really prove it to anybody. I just want to do good for my family, my family and my team.”

Early in Super Bowl week, Walker’s coach Mike Macdonald said the club wants him back in 2026.

“Obviously we want Ken back,” the coach said Monday. “He’s a tremendous player. He’s a great person. He’s a great teammate. Those are the people we want in our building. Those are the people we want with the Seahawks. I’m sure Ken feels the same way. Again, those are things we have to worry about, not right now. Those are decisions we’ll make about him in the future, but I know how we feel about Ken. Us.”

Walker responded to the sentiment.

“I’ve been here four years, so you know I’ve gotten to know a lot of things about Seattle and you know a lot of the city and I feel like they’re comfortable with me, too,” he said. “So if it was my choice, I would still definitely stay.”
