Carter selected bully when a good giant past the rush. Thibodeaux and Elder Brian Burns formed one of the top duos last season. Burns formed 8.5 sacks and 66 QB pressure while Thibodeaux added 5.5 sacks and 42 QB pressure in 12 games. Now they add Carter, unanimous Rusher’s top edge in the draft.
Thibodeaux assumes that all three are on the field together at some point, in potential kinks with the throwback nascar package giants.
“I think it’s the position of a line baker outside,” said Thibodeaux. “We’re those Tweeners. If you look at my talent competition, then Brian’s talent – Brian can speed me in.
“We will see how they mix this together. But we will all be on the field at some point.”
The trio, along with the star defense, Dexter Lawrence, will provide the Giants hesitant front that offers flexibility and ability to pack the team manager and crushed pocket. If Big Blue is going north to the NFC East, the defense will be the key.
