Josh Allen: bills have “a lot of things to clean up” after a loss on the back

Josh Allen: bills have "a lot of things to clean up" after a loss on the back

It will not be a fun week in Buffalo following the defeat that saw that the bills lose their grip on the AFC East.

At 24-14 losses on Monday night for Atlanta, both sides of the ball split a look, ranging from the inability of the offense to stacking productive drives outside each half opening holdings to the defense and watching Bijan Robinson plowing through them like a bulldozer.

Josh Allen’s violation went 3 and four times, twice with the chance to tie the game in the fourth quarter.

“It will eat me for the next two weeks,” Allen said of the opportunities that were forgotten through the team’s official website. “I mean, a lot of things to clean up.”

Allen threw two shutters, one power at the end of the half and another to close a two -point competition on the final race. Throughout the competition, the bills from James Cook came too often. Three of the four 3-and-outs of the bills came without cooking the pigskin. With the lack of players on the outside, it will be powerful again to be a catalyst, similar to how the falcons use Robinson.

On Monday, the bills could not keep Allen clean, allowing pressure on 44.1% of Allen’s dropout (15 of 34), the highest pressure test he has faced in the game since 5. Week 2024 (loss for Houston). Into the 6th week, the bills had allowed the lowest pressure rate in the NFL (22.3%).

After opening the season with 41, 30, 31 and 31 points in their 4-0 start, Bills violations have set up 20 and 14 points, respectively, in a two-game losing slide.

“We had our opportunity to take advantage of and we didn’t,” Allen said. “It sucks when you feel like two -thirds of the team (special team and defense) do their job and you are the team not pulling your weight. It sucks.”

Allen is good at his defense team. Bills’ D is a mess now. They can’t stop the race, get into the digestive tract and the college continues to choose – by Stefon Diggs last week and Drake London on Monday. When they had the opportunity to get off the field, penalties were penalized.

If not in a few Atlanta Flubs – ended the first half without points, a closed field goal – could have been worse for bills that went to the blessing of the week.

“We have to figure it out,” said McDermott coach. “We have to delve deep into what we are doing, how we are doing it, make sure we have the right people in the right places and then the implementation at the end of the day we have to start from Ground Zero and work back up.”

Positive side of Buffalo: Two games are not unlike last year’s loss to Baltimore and Houston early in the season. McDermott’s crew rattles of seven straight wins after the 3-2 start to get back on track. If the repetition 2025 is repeating such a run, the prevailing NFL MVP needs to play better and the defense needs help.

The bills have not lost three games in a row for a season since they lost four bones in the newcomer Allen 2018 campaign (weeks 6-9)
