Jets get trade calls for DT Quinnen Williams, RB Breece Hall; Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers is drawing interest

Jets get trade calls for DT Quinnen Williams, RB Breece Hall; Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers is drawing interest

Williams easily boasts the finest resume of the aforementioned trio.

The 27-year-old has long been the focal point of the Jets defense, having made three straight Pro Bowls before this season and becoming a first-time All-Pro in 2022. The seven-year pro has started all eight games for the Jets this year and has already earned three career fumbles. 2026 is the second-to-last season of Williams’ current four-year, $96 million contract, though it has an option through the 2027 season.

As for Hall, the 24-year-old is playing on the final stretch of his rookie deal after New York selected him in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He currently has 581 rushing yards through eight games. Hall, a pass rusher whose rookie season was cut short by injury, has struggled for much of his fourth season before turning in a great performance Sunday, running for two touchdowns and throwing for another to lead the Jets to their first win of 2025. Before the season, head coach Aaron Glenn said he didn’t want to move on from Hall’re and the AFC No. seeds

Las Vegas isn’t much higher in the AFC pecking order, which is 2-5 heading into the season. Meyers, who has 29 receptions for 329 yards and missed his team’s last game with multiple injuries, said recently that he remains open to a trade, but has conscientiously approached his role with the Raiders. Like Hall, he is in the final year of his current contract. His desire for an extension to go unfulfilled was the basis for him asking for a trade. With the Raiders in last place in the AFC West and having added a familiar name in Lockett, it would seem pretty logical for the team to answer the calls they received.

Next week will reveal whether Meyers moves on or another Jets big name.
