Ragnow in the first round in 2018, has been one of the best Pivots while driving in Detroit. He has been named another team All-PRO three times and formed four Pro Bowl nods, including each of the last three periods.
Ragnow had not been on Lions’ free OTA equipment this spring. There were some reports that he had sought the extension of a contract. Instead, the heart of the O-line lions will go away for good.
Ragnow began his career on the left before moving in the middle of full -time employment in 2019, where he flourished as bullying in the middle of Lions’ offensive.
The 29 -year -old has played through damage to the career injury, including chest injury in early 2024. Despite a possible long injury, Ragnow returned after missing one game. While talking about the injury in September, head coach Dan Campbell called an affectionate Ragnow “stubborn” and “hard barriers.”
“He is strong, he is stubborn and so he wants to go and he always wants to go,” Campbell said at the time.
With a washing list of injuries over his seven periods-including concussion, groin, neck, foot, knee and pectoral minor Ragnow 20 slope in a normal period, while playing through issues in many more.
One of the top centers in the NFL during his running, Ragnow scraped especially in the ground as a beast.
Pensions leave a giant hole in the middle of the Lions offensive line. Fortunately for Detroit, Brad Holmes manager has put the interior in the last two drafts. In 2025, he chose Tate Ratledge in the second round and Miles Frazier in the 5th round. The Lions chose Christian Mahgni in the sixth round in 2024. The youngsters are guarded, but Known is known to Hank Fraley to train his players.
Detroit could divide the elder Graham Glasgow into Center, where he has played more than 2,600 snapshots in nine seasons. During OTA, Ratledge has also trained both in the middle and guard with Ragnow out and could make a transition to a rookie. Detroit also has Michael Niese in Reserve Center in the roster.
The Lions’ offenses came into Offseason with questions after Ben Johnson went to Chicago. Now they will have another significant hole to fill out training camps. Jared Goff will have a new voice in the ear and a new center clicks him pigskin.
