Former OC Kliff Kingsbury expected to join the Rams coaching staff

The Rams led the league in offense last season, yielding a league-high 394.6 yards and 30.5 points per game. LA is poised to remain on top in 2026 after Matthew Stafford said Thursday in his acceptance speech as he won the 2025 AP NFL Most Valuable Player Award at NFL honors that he will return for the 18th season.

Along with Stafford, the Rams return a formidable receiving duo in Puka Nacua and Davante Adams while boasting an effective running back duo in Kyren Williams and Blake Corum, all of whom are under contract through 2026.

Kingsbury’s offensive mindset should only boost McVay’s staff, which was loaded with head coaching candidates during this year’s recruiting process, including former OC Mike LaFleur, who was hired as the Cardinals’ head coach last week.

After serving as the head coach at his alma mater at Texas Tech, Kingsbury made a splash at Arizona and helped Kyle Murray’s rise to the NFL. He was also instrumental in Jayden Daniels’ incredible rookie season that ended with Offensive Rookie of the Year honors and an appearance in the 2024 NFC title game.

Kingsbury, who interviewed for a number of OC and head coaching jobs in recent weeks, will bring his offensive spirit to the Rams’ sideline in 2026.
