The Pittsburgh Steelers are adding a potential piece to their secondary as their season gets underway.
Cornerback Asante Samuel Jr., who recently underwent a medical after undergoing spinal fusion surgery this offseason, is signing with the Steelers’ practice squad, NFL Networks insider Ian Rapoport reported.
Samuel made a number of visits to interested teams after clearing his medical and is set to join a Pittsburgh defense that has rebounded after a dismal start to the season.
