Atlanta Falcons linebacker James Pearce Jr. was arrested Saturday on multiple charges, according to Miami-Dade County (Fla.) court records.
According to Miami-Dade County records, Pearce was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of aggravated stalking — both of which fall under the domestic violence category — as well as fleeing/eluding police and resisting an officer.
Pearce’s bond has not yet been set on all charges.
“We are aware of an incident involving James Pearce Jr., in Miami,” the Falcons said in a statement provided to NFL Media, first obtained by NFL Network Insider Mike Garafolo. “We are working to gather more information and will have no further comment on an open legal matter at this time.”
Pearce was the No. 26 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
He recently finished third in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting and had a team-high 10.5 sacks in his first season with the Falcons.
