The Philadelphia Eagles are signing former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Tariq Woolen to a one-year contract, NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe reported. NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo added that Woolen’s contract will be a maximum of $15 million.
Woolen, No. 34 on Gregg Rosenthal’s list of 101 free agents, had a roller-coaster ride his first four years in Seattle, making the Pro Bowl as a rookie and then seeing his performance in the middle years, ending up as a Super Bowl champion.
Woolen has 12 career interceptions with 203 tackles, five fumble recoveries and a whopping 53 passes defensed.
He is the Eagles’ first signing outside of their own players so far this season.
About the NFL will have more shortly.
