Unlike ugly, three -charging outing a joint exercise with Bears last week, Tagovailoa did not make the same crushed mistake against the lions. However, he failed to knock his unit and mourn a common energy shortage afterwards. Perhaps there was even more interesting progress, the goal of Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, who has not yet been fulfilled.
“I would like to see growth in our team, based on having one joint and one game, about how we improve our football within practice,” McDaniel said on Wednesday. “It can be a great focus on going against another team and it can be a great emphasis on whatever happened. I want our concentration to be games ready -made game representatives, and since you are making plays, regardless of its success or failure, you have another play, how are you going to use that play before.
“I want to see growth within exercises in all three stages, especially after a game we don’t win.”
Based on Tagovailoa’s assessment, the dolphins are not defeating adversity in the game-for-game. Even worse, they could prove to be Stuard correct.
Stuard’s comments were nothing new from the Detroit camps, organizations that take their ambition in hardness while having a chip with a car size on their shoulders. After enjoying a speedy turnaround that has included a deep play -off game and ascension in the Elite NFL club, the Lions have plenty of reason to walk around with the coffins and the heads kept high.
It is a key reason for McDaniel’s joint procedure with the prevailing NFC North masters.
“I think it was very intentional to bring our organization to Detroit and practice against this team from football that they like to play,” McDaniel explained on Wednesday. “I think they don’t take a workout for granted, it seems. I love (Lions coach) Dan Campbell and his approach. It’s very authentic.
“Yes, I’m expecting people with strengths to practice and challenge the opposite team that will have strength.
Nothing else includes Stuard’s comments, which McDaniel heard and immediately put “into the noise party”. But after one surprise, it could be McDaniel to make a little noise in the dolphin closet to light a fire under his soldiers, especially as he prepares his team for what might be a key campaign.
“The message to the team is that we have the opportunity to compete against another opponent,” McDaniel said when asked how he was preparing his players to face the lions. “This was about the dolphins and I don’t care about all the others – I know that their players like football and their head coach do, and I want to practice it. But beyond that, I think it’s a mistake to take care of anyone except Miami Dolphins, so that’s what I’m focused on.”
Such a reflection could interrela to the dolphins to take the stadium on Thursday with an increased urgent feeling. Maybe Tagovailoa could and the offense could find the energy that they have lacking in common working methods so far.
