Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Insiders at the league’s annual meeting in March that the team had long-term plans for Pickens.
Regardless, the Cowboys have had a busy season adding players on both sides of the ball. Dallas re-signed quarterback Javonte Williams to a three-year deal to shore up their backfield, traded for defensive end Rashan Gary, Jalen Thompson and added other veterans.
Despite not being able to work with his new teammates yet, Prescott is excited about what the Cowboys could potentially do in Thursday’s weekend 2026 NFL Draft.
“Yeah, I’m excited about everything we’ve done so far,” Prescott said. “I expect two great picks. It’s going to be something exciting. I don’t know any more than anybody if it’s going to be a move that’s going to be cool. It’s always an exciting night. I don’t think anyone knows what to expect, but I know we’re going to add some great players.”
