Philadelphia Eagles traded CJ Gardner-Johnson to Houston this season in payroll. From the point of view of the defense back, there was another reason why he was moved from Philly.
In an interview with the Pivot Podcast, Gardner-Johnson was asked by Ryan Clark why he was no longer in Philly following such a successful, Super Bowl-winning.
“Scared of a competitor,” replied Gardner-Johnson. “Simple like that.”
Asked what he meant by that, DB replied: “You can’t program Dawg.”
Gardner-Johnson sounded like he did not have the support of staff and always found him teaching when things went aside and cited a draft of the game late time against Washington’s superiors. He also stated that he was taught about fighting after training by season.
“We had a little scrutiny for training,” said Gardner-Johnson. “Nothing, just a break against defense, but who is the culprit of it? I. I think, because we’re competing. Well, you tell me the season is live.
CJGJ said that his former teammates had never had an issue with how he handled himself.
“You want me to become a leader and honest, but then you want me back,” said Gardner-Johnson. “There has been nowhere been a dressing room where I had one issue with a teammate.”
When Howie Roseman traded Gardner-Johnson this offseason, he quoted for financial reasons and stated that Eagles had other players they were trying to lock and fit under the cap.
Following the business, the backbone of social media shows a social media video saying that Eagles “probably won’t see a circle without me.” This was a comment he went back and noticed that he “withdraw” the reaction.
“It’s a disrespect to Jalen Carter, aj Brown-I can name all these boys in that team-lane Johnson,” said Gardner-Johnson. “Because Lane is my big veterinarian and Lane would tell me,” Hey, [C.J.]I got your back, but when you do too much, I didn’t get my back. And it’s one of these moments that is too much. ‘Because it’s taken away from his career. He did. He did it ahead of me. When I apologize to the boys in Philly, I received nothing against them. And if they work six more laps without me, they deserve it, because this is the type of players they are. “
