Brian Schottenheimer at QB competition Cowboys: "We need to find out about Joe Milton"

The Dallas cowboys are still determining the best action behind Dak Prescott.

Joe Milton III starred 59 snapshots in the first game on Saturday against the Los Angeles Rams and went 17-AF-29, which went 143 meters, contact and interception before leaving the elbow. Will Grier took over for the last seven snapshots.

Coach Brian Schottenheimer explained that the reasoning behind Milton, who got the main part of the representatives, was that the staff is still trying to get to know the young pedestrian.

“I think our plan has always been that we need to find out about Joe Milton,” Schottenheimer said through the team’s official website. “Under no circumstances I am a panic or worried about Joe Milton. Joe Milton played really well in the second half, he did some really good things. He calmed down, he calculated it.”

Schottenheimer was in Cowboys staff for three seasons before being raised in the head coach Gig this dissatisfaction. He emphasized that the time means he does not have to learn Prescott or Grier as much as he needs to calculate what Milton does best.

“I have to learn him as the director,” Schotty said. “I don’t have to learn Dak. I feel like I don’t have to learn Will. So that’s more of it, it’s more because I have to learn Joe. I’m not going to say who the copy that runs again is now, what the team manager’s copy is now, because I don’t have to make these decisions yet.”
