Bengals WR Tee Higgins eyes first 1,000-yard, 10-TD season

Cincinnati Bengals Pro Bowl wide receiver Tee Higginsis coming off a career 11-touchdown season, but had just 846 receiving yards, the second-lowest of his six-year career. It marked the third straight season the wideout has been under the 1,000-yard mark, and his second straight with double-digit touchdowns.

In 2026, Higgins wants to put the two together.

“I’m trying to shoot for that 1,000 yards this year. I missed that last season. I’m trying to get at least 10 touchdowns. Just throw some targets in there,” Higgins told Rob Gregson of A to Z Sports.

Injuries, both to himself and to quarterback Joe Burrow, have limited Higgins’ production in recent seasons. He played just 12 games in 2023 and 2024 and 15 in 2025. When he impresses, he and Ja’Marr Chase form the NFL’s most potent receiver duo.

Cincinnati has been able to keep its offensive line together in recent campaigns. This off-season, the club spent time significantly strengthening the defense after grumbling from key players about the state of the league after a 6-11 season. The Bengals added Dexter Lawrence, Boye Mafe, Bryan Cook and Cashius Howell in the second round, among others.

If the key Bengals can stay healthy, it’s a foursome that will be in contention for the AFC North title and a deep playoff run. Higgins aims higher.

“Other teams’ expectations, man: Win it [Super] Cheers. This is no. We have to finish.”
