Dallas Cowboys receiver George Pickens is in mandatory minicamp but will not be a full participant after skipping free practice.
Coach Brian Schottenheimer said Tuesday that Pickens will go through walk-on and individual drills but will not participate in team drills, as a precaution.
“Absolutely great visits with George,” Schottenheimer said. “He’s fired up to have him back, he’s fired up to be here. He’ll do all the mocks, he’ll do all the one-on-ones, and we’ll just keep him off the team, just let him watch. He’ll be Pickens’ coach today during the team season.”
The coach added that Pickens should be in full swing when the Cowboys enter training camp in Oxnard, Calif., at the end of July.
