Nick Sirianni says Eagles have been successful with AJ Brown; HC excited for the WR group

Nick Sirianni is ready to close the book on AJ Brown.

The Philadelphia Eagles head coach was asked Tuesday about his former receiver, who was traded to the New England Patriots last week, and Sirianni tried his best to highlight the positives and look to the future.

“I’d say it’s been a good few years,” Sirianni said when asked about Brown’s time in Philadelphia. “Did a lot of good things with AJ here. Two Super Bowls. I think he’s been an All-Pro multiple times. Pro Bowl multiple times. I’d say it’s been a good run.”

Sirianni said he and Eagles general manager Howie Roseman were close to moving Brown, who secured the Eagles two draft picks, including a first-round pick in 2028.

“Howie and I discuss everything, you know,” Sirianni said. “… So many things (Brown) did that (were) good for our football team and will always wish him well.”

“It’s a team game. … Every decision I make and decisions Howie makes, we talk about it.”
