Joey Bosa, who will turn 31 on July 11, is turning 10 years oldi.e NFL season. He had 29 tackles and five sacks for the Buffalo Bills after nine seasons with the Chargers, who selected him third overall in 2016. While he played in 15 of a possible 17 last season, he played just 28 of a possible 51 over the last three years combined, with injuries piling up on a yearly basis.
The five-time Pro Bowler also earned north of $150 million during his career, according to Over the Cap. With the broken up body and a large bank account, perhaps the end has come for the elder Bosa brother.
However, Nick told reporters that he is “pretty far along” in his ACL recovery, having played just three games last season.
Nick was the second overall pick by the 49ers in 2019 and could be the only Bosa playing in the NFL this fall.
This is just speculation, of course, as Joey could be on the hook and join a pass-rushing team after the dog days of training camp burn out.
