Perhaps the most notable change up there is Baltimore introducing two new helmets.
First up is the team’s brand new “Darkness Helmet,” which features black claw stripes and the Ravens logo with a two-tone front. The helmet will be worn by Baltimore’s all-black uniforms “when darkness falls on M&T Bank Stadium.”
The team’s “Purple Rising” helmet, originally introduced in 2024 and featuring the team’s purple alternate uniform, now features the primary Ravens logo rather than the previous front-facing option. It will now be worn with coordinated combinations.
New to the color scheme is the introduction of ‘Midnight Purple’, which will offer a distinctly new optic where the color shift is designed to radiate purple in the light and fade to dark as it fades.
There are also a variety of other changes, such as: Ravens wings on the jersey collar, diagonal claws on the pants, modified sleeve shields, and a modified jersey number that will include midnight purple in all three primary jersey colors.
Inside the jersey collars there is a different message in each variation:
- “Play Like a Raven” for purple and white
- “Purple Rising” for purple rising
- “Darkness there and nothing more” for black
In 2025, the Ravens missed the playoffs for just the second time in eight seasons. They ended a campaign that began with Super Bowl hopes with a losing record. So with Minter taking over from Harbaugh, it’s a very new era in Baltimore. After Thursday, the Ravens will look like part of a franchise flying into a new day.
