“You know, what I’ve learned about him is that he likes to be moved around,” Schottenheimer said. “We found out when CeeDee was out, honestly, because CeeDee has been the guy that we’ve been moving around. So, when we got that stretch when he got crazy, we were moving him. So, he’s excited about it. He’s looking forward to it.
“There’s again the fact that he’s working and pitching with Dak and some of the other guys, that’s more important to me than anything. Because you have to bring that me-to-you element. Dak’s been throwing CeeDee around for years, so those two guys working together, I think it’s going to be huge moving into Year 2.”
The potential for explosives production remains high in Dallas. We’ll see if that involves a multi-year deal or another proving period for Pickens.
