The Chiefs have signed former Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III, MVP of Super Bowl LX, to a three-year contract.

The Kansas City Chiefs are signing former Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III in an effort to upgrade their quarterback at the start of free agency, according to NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo.

Walker’s contract is for three years and is worth up to $45 million with $28.7 million fully guaranteed, according to The Insiders.

The signing cannot become official until the season opens on Wednesday.

Walker, 25, is coming off arguably his best season and earned MVP honors in Super Bowl LX for leading the Seahawks past the Patriots last month. He also led the NFL in postseason rushing (65), rushing yards (313) and rushing TDs (four) through three games in January and February.
