The Miami Dolphins have agreed to trade safety Minkah Fitzpatrick within the league to the New York Jets, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported Monday, according to sources.
Miami will get a seventh-round pick back in 2026 for Fitzpatrick, who will sign a three-year, $40 million deal with the Jets when the trade closes.
The AFC East swaps cannot become official until the start of the new league year on Wednesday.
Fitzpatrick, 29, spent the 2025 season in Miami after six seasons in Pittsburgh. New Jets defensive coordinator Brian Duker coached Fitzpatrick last season with the Dolphins.
