Bills’ Josh Allen laments playoff loss to Broncos: ‘Feel like I let my teammates down tonight’

Bills' Josh Allen laments playoff loss to Broncos: 'Feel like I let my teammates down tonight'

Allen completed 25 of 39 passes for 283 yards with three TDs and two INTs for a 90.0 passer rating. He also contributed 66 rushing yards to an offense that converted 10 of 15 third downs, scored TDs on three of five red-zone possessions, totaled 449 yards and earned a foul time (40:58 to 29:18). The Bills became just the third team in history to score 30-plus points with zero points in a playoff loss, according to NFL Research.

Allen’s guard, Dion Dawkins, was also emotional after Saturday’s loss, but he did say that Allen “didn’t let us down,” NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe reported.

Since Allen’s arrival in the NFL, Buffalo has had a Super Bowl season but nothing short of the AFC title game. The Bills QB had also been efficient entering Saturday’s game, with his last turnover in the playoffs since the 2022 divisional round.

But disaster struck for Allen and Co., starting with a James Cook fumble in the second quarter, another key turnover that prevented the Bills from adding to an early lead as they crawled toward the red zone.

Allen, despite overcoming the majority of his mistakes Saturday, is left to dwell on yet another early exit from the playoffs.

“I haven’t been talking much, other than I love my teammates, and I’m really sorry,” Allen said. “I’m disappointed with how it ended.”
