Josh Allen’s foot problem will cause some discomfort but shouldn’t prevent him from participating in a key game in Week 17.
The Bills quarterback is considered day-to-day, head coach Sean McDermott told reporters Monday, adding that he expects Allen to be available to play next Sunday, according to The Buffalo News.
Allen injured his foot in the closing minutes of the first half of Buffalo’s 23-20 win over the Cleveland Browns and underwent X-rays at halftime. He didn’t miss a game, returning to help the Bills hold onto the lead in a narrow victory.
Despite beating New England in their Week 15 rematch, Allen’s Bills (11-4) are still looking up at the Patriots (12-3) in the AFC East standings with two weeks to play.
Buffalo hosts another qualifier, the Eagles, on Sunday in the penultimate regular season in Highmark Stadium history.
