Mike McDaniel: Stephen Ross, owner of Dolphins, "really frustrated" after a loss for panthers

Stephen Ross, owner of Miami Dolphins, declared his frustration for Mike McDaniel coach at his weekly meeting after the game after a 27-24 loss on Sunday for the Carolina Panthers.

“He was really frustrated, just as I was,” McDaniel said on Monday through ESPN. “We talked about the challenge ahead to be ready for the chargers and that was really its scope.”

The owner’s meeting is a habit, not an indication of where McDaniel’s job is.

Sunday’s loss was a cruel way to fall in 1-4, the worst start of the club since 2021.

Miami jumped into a 17-0 lead, where the defense forced the transition and the offense that fell.

However, the hot start in haste.

The defense could not stop Carolina’s rush attack, allowed 239 meters on the ground, including 206 to Rico Dowdy. Dolphin’s offense went into the tank and went three and out of four of his last seven possessions.

The collapse marked the sixth loss in the history of the right to vote when it led by 17 plus points in each place during the game, the first week since 5. Week 2018, against Cincinnati.

“It’s frustrating because it’s a lot to talk about and we have to do it,” he said. “I think no one wants to hear me talk about it as much and I don’t feel like saying it, but it doesn’t change the constant reality that is: you have to get better at things or you will continue to have the same results.”

If a loss like Sunday continues to come up, McDaniel’s meetings with Ross will eventually stop.
