With the appearance of each scale, Howard has had difficulty opening the season. Throughout four weeks, his EPA goal is 14.3 as the next defender in the fifth worst among all corners (min 10 targets). Those below him are all young players. Howard is a 32 -year -old elder who seems to have lost a step or two.
“We will appreciate everyone, all games,” said Anarumo. “X is a player in the team, so he certainly intends to appreciate. … not only X, but everyone will always be valued every week, based on performance. We will always look at all these things and continue accordingly.”
Charvarius Ward has been excellent and created -0.4 Mark EPA. His play, along with Howard’s struggle, will only lead to defense to continue choosing the elder.
“It’s not just one guy,” Anarumo said. “If you put a microscope on one person, everyone can always finish, maybe, better here or there. I think he had some plays where he finished well and there are others where he can do better, for sure.”
