There will be no contract drama in Pittsburgh this summer.
Steelers and Star Pass Rusher TJ Watt have agreed to divorce a three -year, $ 123 million extension of contracts, according to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero on Thursday.
The new treaty, which will network $ 41 million a year, will make it the highest salary in the history of NFL history, per Rapoport and Pelissero. Myles Garrett previously held that title for $ 40 million a year, a deal he signed in March.
Watt, who had released a mandatory minicamp while seeking a new contract, avoiding potential dysfunction and resetting past the market in the process. The extension comes a week before when it is estimated that the ceasefire will arrive in the Steele’s training camp on July 23.
Watt’s influence in Pittsburgh has been insurmountable. Watt has appointed defense player of 2021 after he equals his 22.5 sacks, Watt has won seven Pro Bowls and four first team All-Pro honor in his eight-year career.
Around the NFL will have more in Watt’s extension soon.
