Justin Simmons has “no bad blood” with Sean Payton; The security of free agents hopes to join a competitor

Justin Simmons has "no bad blood" with Sean Payton; The security of free agents hopes to join a competitor

Denver undoubtedly had a happy year and ended almost a decades -long drought with a roster that had been turned around to rely on younger players, especially in the team manager, where the newcomer Bo Nix made a respectable race for the newcomer of the year while led Denver back to the season. Simmons believes that their youth was necessary for their turnaround and explained that the more likely group was more willing to buy in what Payton was selling in 2024.

This was a remarkable transformation from what seemed to be a relatively miserable experience in 2023, Simmons’ final campaign in Denver.

“This is a very good question,” Simmons said when asked what was different between the two teams. “I mean, even when I played against them and I’m watching a movie, I just felt, and this is no shadow for anyone – I think when you have a young team, and you can shape, they buy in much faster than guys who are older and have seen it and have done things differently as long?

“And then people can take it how it is going to take it. There is no shot at anyone, but the boys bought in.

“Sean is an incredible coach. And when you have that combination, good things happen. Not all the time, right? But good things tend to happen. And so I think last year was just the by -product of the team that bought in. It was stated in many of their games.”

Simmons looked at a distance while working as a mercenary for the falcons, a team that lost the steering wheel down the elastic and fell under the playoff games.

Simmons’ single season with the Falcons was good – though not as good as his last Denver campaign – but when he struggled with a group that ended by changing the teammate from despair late in the year, he couldn’t help but watch his former teammate victory.

It is a reality that Simmons chased for years in Denver, where he became a pro bowl security and a stable star in the breathtaking period in the club’s history. Because life is often cruel, when the time came for Broncos to finally return to prominent, they cut Simmons to save a salary group and forced him to find a one -year deal with Atlanta.

Given the opportunity to do that, Simmons would not change anything. After all, his emissions from Broncos were not only his choice. However, after watching his former team enjoy playoffs while he once again experienced the disappointment of missing out on the backing season, Simmons has encouraged to zero in one goal: to seek the legitimate success of the team.

“I think Atlanta I would still choose 10 out of 10 times if I was there (I was in) last year,” Simmons said. “But in terms of what I am right now, (I am) to be only jealous where we want to go and where we want to call home next … for the next two years, year, whatever it is … but competitor is no. 1 on the list now.”

It is the same goal of Simmons described in April, but he is still unprepared. When he was 31 years old, he may have to wait until needed in training camps or season operations. But at this point in the career, it sounds like Simmons is enough to wait for the right situation.

After all, he knows that he has so much time left. And he does not want to delete it by repeating the same process as he endured in 2024.
