Prescott 2024 was a roller coaster of various kinds. He finished 64.7% of his transmissions in 1,978 meters and 11 contact, but threw eight shutters, six in his last four games. Dallas clearly lacked Tier’s talent for a receiver outside of Ceedee Lamb, adding the difficulties over a period that became much demanding following Prescott’s injury.
Given time to recover and repeat, the cowboys feel that they are in a better position now. There is a reason: They finally had another receiver – the former Steelers Wideout George Pickens – with high air to come up with lamb.
It is up to Pickens and Prescott to study each other for the period 2025 to try to land in the ground. Prescott believes it will not be a big deal, even if he is approaching a full return.
“Not long,” Prescott said when asked how quickly he could start contact with Pickens. “As I have said, after dealing with business before – Amari Cooper, Brandin Cooks.
“Go on the ribbon of that man. He is getting separation. He has a separation even when he doesn’t get the ball sometimes, and when he doesn’t have a separation he still gets the catch. It won’t be difficult for me. It’s about getting the ball near that guy and he will be George Pickens.
Pickens built a reputation for himself as the highlight of a manufacturer in Pittsburgh but also struggled to find consistency in the limited Steelers bombing. When they traded for DK Metcalf, Pickens became defense. Dallas jumped the opportunity and swung a contract for Pickens for the contract year for the Georgia product.
The possibilities of the operating year are certainly available for Pickens in Dallas. But it is clear that it is on the line for more than just Pickens this season.
Fortunately, it sounds like he will have his team manager available for a full marathon waiting for them.
