Former Steelers, Terry Bradshaw, former Steelers, continues to stubborn for former selection in the first round of Kenny Pickett, who washed out of Pittsburgh after only two seasons.
Bradshaw talked about “To the Point – Home Services Podcast” and in an interview published last week and accused Steelers for not building around Pickett, which led to the team manager.
“The first player, got rid of him after two years. And they are still looking for a team manager. They didn’t even do anything to build around him,” Bradshaw said.
It is not new from Bradshaw, who has repeatedly indicated that the company has failed young QB more than the pedestrian.
Steelers wrote Pickett a year after Ben Roethlisberger retired. It was many of the Pitt products that cover at that time and Pickett rarely showed the characteristics that many first rounds possess. Pittsburgh traded QB to Philadelphia in 2024.
There is some truth to Bradshaw’s comment where Steelers used the offensive line in front of Pickett and Matt Canada’s manager, halfway in the first season of QB, was a disaster. Pittsburgh had written Najee Harris and Pat Freiermuth over the previous season and took George Pickens in the second round after selecting Pickett.
