Neal has destroyed offseason cross training at both protection sites, but with Jon Runyan pencil on the left guard, Neal will fight against the elder Greg Van Roten at the right protection site.
“He is doing well here. It is excited to see when we put a pillow on what happens, but he has taken it, we have taken it, it has been good so far,” striker Carmen Bricillo told The New York Post. “In the NFL, lots of boys have moved from tackle to defend, so we see how things are going.”
Neal has not played a guard since his newcomer in Alabama, when he started 13 games at his right defense.
At this stage, everything they get out of Neal bonus. At least the Offseason provides the training of Guids versatility if injuries hit the season.
