Jimmie Ward, the safety of Houston Texans, was arrested on Thursday morning in Montgomery County (Texas) and charged with assault, according to a prison manager.
Ward, 33, was arrested by Montgomery County Sherriff’s office at 05:38 Thursday morning in Magnolia, Texas. He was booked at 06:37 and is now held without bonds.
The charge of Ward was raised to the third -degree attack on family attacks due to allegations of hindered breathing, showing imprisonment.
The elder defense defense is going into the 12th year in NFL and his third in Houston. Ward started 10 games for Texans last season and recorded two interceptions (including Val-Sex), four past defense and 48 tackles. Former Selection in the first round of San Francisco 49ers, Ward has started 99 of 126 games in the usual season played in the career with 549 tackles, 51 Passes defenses and 10 interceptions. He has one year left on his contract with Texans.
“We are aware of the report that includes Jimmie Ward,” Texans head of Omar Majzoub’s relations with NFL.com said in a statement. “We are gathering information and have no further comments at this time.”
Houston picks up a three -day mandatory minicamp and outside the season on Thursday.
