NFL owners vote against banning Tush pushing a Spring League meeting

Tush push will live for another season.

On Wednesday, NFL owners voted against banning Tush Push Play, which were popular in recent years by Philadelphia Eagles, according to Tom Pelissero, NFL Network, and Judy Battista.

The proposal submitted by the Green Bay Packers was reviewed from one submitted to the league’s annual league meeting earlier this spring and had eliminated to push or pull the runner “in any direction at any time,” while lifting the player to his feet had also been banned.

Green Bay’s proposal cast two votes shy at the necessary 24-vote Threshold for ratification with 10 teams that voted against the ban, according to Ian Rapoport, NFL Network inside-win.

Eagles, who have been in defense of the play over the past season, welcomed news on Wednesday on social media and with a video on his official YouTube channel with “26 minutes of Tush Push.”
