In his first year, Henry almost helped Baltimore meet his goals. Henry finished second in the NFL in Rushing Yards (1,921) in 2024, scored the best 16 rush in the league, an average of 5.9 meters in the career and helped Ravens finish with the third largest meter offensive (7,224) over a season in NFL’s history.
It seems that only a historic conclusion had reassured Henry, who, despite the speed of 1,167 meters and 12 matches in 2023, acknowledged that he was unhappy with his production in the end of the Tennessee Titans. Baltimore may have been the only place in the NFL that could also make such a conclusion.
“I am grateful for this organization,” said Henry. “Just like last year, to come from the period I had, you know, I was not very happy, and I wanted to prove myself and just get a chance and they gave me that opportunity. I am very grateful how much they appreciate me, to give me an extension and I just want to show them how much it means to me
Henry probably knew he was walking in individual situations when he agreed with Baltimore, where Lamar Jackson threatens defenses evenly with his arm and legs. As Henry said on Monday: “You have to explain (Jackson) every single play.” This reality attracted some attention from Henry and cleaned wide routes where Henry made a great profit in 2024.
When he enters 2025 as 31 years old, he is not worried about the murmur of a possible decline ahead of him. Instead, he is focused on helping his team reach the goal it fell under last season. He could also click at the top 10 at the top of the time if he produces in a similar way to 2024, which would only make a run on the Super Bowl sweeter. He enters the season on 11,423 dash meters, with Tony Dorsett, no. 10 all the time, at 12,739 meters, or 1,316 away.
“To come here, everything was new and everything I wanted to do was gain my respect from my teammates and everyone in this organization by how I work and carry myself,” said Henry. “Over time when I came here, I fell in love with everything; with the fraternity, how they work, how they approach everything and get into the season was just like a icing on the cake.
“I know we got a short time, but it was a lot of fun. We have a lot of great players – a lot of top players in this league, players – so it’s always fun when you got kids around you who are at their top position and can change the game at any time.”
