Cam Ward fought for Titans to sign Miami Wr Xavier Restrepo: "Why wouldn't you push him?"

By playing with Ward for the period 2024 in Miami, Restrepo collected 69 receptions for 1,127 meters conference and 11 contact and earned all-American honor. He ended his career as a hurricane leader in the reception all the time (200) and received a meter (2,844). However, the draft of the Restrepo shares fell due to 40 meters in par on his professionalism, something acknowledged Callahan who participated in their analysis of Breiða.

Nevertheless, Ward said he was confident of Restrepo’s talent and said he spoke up through the draft.

“I was really excited when (Titans) signed X,” Ward said. “He’s someone who deserved.

“He was one of the best leader football guys at college last year, he is the first team of All-Conference, he is all-American, he never lost in the man’s coverage. He is a back-back 1,000 meter receiver, so why wouldn’t you push him?”

However, the work does not end with the signing of Restrepo, as unlike Ward, he will have a difficult journey ahead to fight his way in the final project list this fall. Tennessee already have Calvin Ridley, Tyler Lockett and Van Jefferson as probable beginners, but Trayon Burks in the first round of 2022 also return in his search for a break. Titans also composed two wide recipients in the fourth round, Chimere Dike and Exic Ayomanor, adding WRS rooms with a total of 13 members and about half that many places available on the 53 -person list.

Restrepo worked as both receiver and PUnt recurrence of a newcomer Minicamp last week, with a special team contributions a common way to add value when you are on the acne.

But workout outside the season is only right to start, with an opportunity on the way to Restrepo to show why the University’s performance can mean at the next level, especially with a familiar face that throws him.

“Xavier has been a really productive player in college. I mean, you look at all the names of the recipients who have played at the University of Miami and he is at the top, which is influential,” said Callahan. “He may not be necessarily the biggest or fastest player who has probably come out of Miami, but he has been incredibly productive and he has found ways to play football properly. So he will start as a match for us and he will have every chance to compete just like everyone else will.

“… I’m excited to see what he can do.”
