Horan leads the USA in minutes in 2023 and has 29 caps and 34 assists, one goal away from becoming the 16th player in USWNT history with 30+ goals and 30+ assists. Alyssa Naeher will earn her 97th cap when she makes her 11th start of 2023 for the USWNT. Naeher has conceded just two goals this year and has eight shutouts, one shy of matching her USWNT single-season record set in both 2018 and 2019. Alana Cook will make her seventh start and ninth overall in 2023 where she wins her 28th cap. overall for the USWNT. Cook scored his first international goal in the USA’s 1–0 win over Ireland on April 11, scoring from 40 meters on his 26th birthday. Lynn Williams will make her fourth start and 11th cap in 2023 as she earns her 59th cap for the United States. Williams, who made her USWNT debut on Oct. 19, 2016, in Sandy, Utah and scored just moments after entering the game, has three goals on the year, including two in her goal against South Africa on Sept. 21. per US victory over South Africa in September, Trinity Rodman will start her ninth tournament in 2023 earning her 25th cap overall for the USWNT. Rodman is now second on the team in scoring this year, behind only the injured Mallory Swanson who has seven goals, and is scoring goals in back-to-back games for the first time in her international career. Alex Morgan will earn her 214th cap for the USWNT as she makes her 14th start of 2023, tied with Lindsey Horan for the most of any USWNT player this year. Morgan, who made her USWNT debut in Sandy, Utah in a memorable — and snowy — game against Mexico on March 31, 2010, has an assist in her last two games for the United States and leads the team with five assists in 2023, her most for the USWNT in a calendar year since 2013. Emily Sonnett will earn her 80th cap for the USWNT as she makes her fourth straight start, her longest streak with the USWNT since the end of 2019 when she made five straight starts. Sonnett scored his second career goal in the USA’s win over South Africa on September 24, becoming the 49th player in team history to win 80+ caps. Naomi Girma will make her eighth straight start for the USWNT, extending the longest such streak of her international career, as she earns her 23rd cap. Girma has played the full game in 16 of his previous 22 career games and has been the mainstay of a backline that has only scored two goals this year. One of only two players to appear in every game for the USA this year, Andi Sullivan will make her 15th appearance of the year for the USWNT as she earns her 52nd career cap. Sullivan made her USA debut in October 2016 and started the USA’s game against Switzerland on October 19 in Sandy, Utah and is third on the USWNT this year in minutes played. Crystal Dunn will make her 13th game – and 13th start – of the year as she makes her 139th all-time appearance for the USWNT. Dunn has four assists and two goals in five career games against Colombia, including a goal and an assist in the USWNT’s 2016 Summer Olympics group stage tie against Colombia. Emily Fox will make her 12th start and 14th appearance of the year overall there which she earns her 36th cap overall for the USWNT. Fox is currently second on the team in minutes played in 2023 with 1,056, making him the second player to surpass the 1,000-minute mark for the USA this year.
