Robert Saleh, former Jets head coach, returns to the 49ers as a defense manager

Robert Saleh, former Jets head coach, returns to the 49ers as a defense manager

After Liam Coen, Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ striker, emerged as Jag’s foremost candidate after a change of mind, Saleh’s way seemed back to San Francisco.

He will return to a San Francisco group who ended 6-11 in an injury campaign 2024 with a defense that was in 29th place in the allowed levels.

However, there are 49ers, who will now have their fourth DC in the same number of periods, still full of defense skills containing Nick Bosa’s defense, Fred Warner line and Security Guard Talanoa Hufanga.

While Saleh worked for the 49ers, they became top five units in permissible yards in each of his last two seasons. The Jets were the top four defense forces in the allowed yards in the last two plus Saleh campaigns for them.

Saleh’s time in NFL began with Houston Texans in 2005 as a defense student. He had a long time in Houston, with Seattle Seahawks and then Jacksonville Jaguars before joining San Francisco.

It was a fertile partnership that starts again with Saleh and the 49ers defense that intended to advance from forgetful shows in 2024.
