FC Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez is expected to miss three weeks with a hamstring injury.
The 21-year-old suffered the injury while on international duty with the Spain Under-21 team and has subsequently returned to Barcelona to undergo an assessment and begin his recovery period.
Lopez, who has been capped twice at senior level by Spain, had been called up to Santi Denia’s squad for upcoming European Under-21 Championship qualifiers against Hungary and Scotland.

The midfielder has made three appearances for Barcelona this season, all as a substitute, including in Saturday’s seven-goal La Liga win over Real Valladolid.
A graduate of the club’s La Masia youth academy, Lopez broke into the club’s first team last season and has scored 11 goals in 42 appearances.
Lopez was part of Spain’s Euro 2024 squad, making a 28-minute substitute appearance against Albania in the group stage after being selected in a friendly against Andorra earlier this year.
