Colts GM Chris Ballard sees “a lot of similar” in the talent sets of Anthony Richardson, Daniel Jones

Colts GM Chris Ballard sees "a lot of similar" in the talent sets of Anthony Richardson, Daniel Jones

It is logic in having a team manager with a similar talent competition for Shane Steichen coach. With the Joe Flacco’s main copy in Colts last year, insulting plans were different when the elder entered the game. Jones and Richardson both have the opportunity to use their feet allowing to continue.

In the end, it is the only thing that matters to have a team manager who can bring the ball with consistency – something that neither Richardson nor Jones have done with his regular career. Ballard continues to preach that competition will help both grow.

“Competition highlights the best,” Ballard said. “This is a competitive division. We’re not just coming with anyone. There had to be someone who will really be able to challenge Anthony and I think it will go both ways. Anthony will also score on Daniel.”

Ballard goes for 9 years in Indianapolis and is still looking for stability in the team manager following the injury of Andrew Luck and suddenly retirement in 2019. After missing the season in the last four seasons in the work of AFC South, things are becoming desperate in Indy. GM is betting that pile in two in difficult team managers against each other can help each one reach the next level.

“Excited for both of them. Enough to get Daniel into the building,” he said. “I think he is very good for what we want to do and who he is as a person and who he can be as a player.”
