Charlotte FC ‘didn’t scare anyone’ ahead of Audi MLS Cup Playoffs debut

Charlotte FC 'didn't scare anyone' ahead of Audi MLS Cup Playoffs debut

Wednesday will be the third game between the Red Bulls and Charlotte this season. The previous two matches ended in draws, including a 2-2 draw at the Red Bull Arena on June 21.

While there are obvious takeaways from those meetings, Westwood insists CLTFC are a “different side” to a few months ago when RBNY came back from two goals down to salvage a point.

“We’ve grown, we’ve matured,” Westwood said. “We have learned a lot. I think we control games a lot better now. We have received several clean sheets. Now we’ve played in really big games, essential games, and we’ve come through. We’re growing as a group, we’re developing and, as I’ve said, we’re playing our best football of the season at the right time.”

“We are taking teams; we don’t fear anyone,” the club captain concluded.
