Washington executives will try to do on Sunday what few have accomplished this season: Stop Saquon Barkley.
Barkley was on the run and formed 2,005 running parks during the normal period. 324 yards in two games after the season give him 2,329 for the season, and he will only be the third player to reach 2,200 plus Yarda in one season (including playoffs), join Terrell Davis (1997 and 1999) and Eric Dickerson (Eric Dickerson (Eric Dickerson (Eric Dickerson (Eric Dickerson ( 1984).
Some teams have slowed the Barkley for elastic and keep it most in 3 or 5 yard benefits. Like a stinging boxer, his back continues. Jab, 3 yard benefits. Jab, 2 yard benefits. Jab, 5 yard benefits. Jab, 1-yard. Strong hit, 11 meters. Jab, 3 meters. Jabb, 6 meters. Jab, 9 meters.
Then, when the silver of daylight appears, Barkley throws a devastating uppercut that puts an opponent on his tuchus.
“He does it against everyone,” said Washington Defense Secretary Joe Whitt Jr. on Thursday through the team’s official website. “So, it’s 11 -man football to stop this man. And if you don’t, you will see these explosives you’ve seen against everyone else.”
The commanders know how difficult it is to slow down Barkley for a full 60 minutes. In two competitions this season, ran back Eagles in 296 running and four scores.
“You just try to stop him,” said Washington line guard Bobby Wagner. “This will be our challenge, to be disciplined throughout the game. He has the ability to break a run at any point and we need to be careful not to …

Easier said than done.
In week 11, the commanders performed well in lifting Barkley. The MVP candidate delivered 70 yards on 20 berries through three quarters, 3.5 yards per bag. Then explosion: 90 yards in 11 fourth quarter, including two touchdowns (23 yards and 39 yards).
“It is the explosives he can create,” said Dan Quinn coach. “He also has a rare direction change. He has this speed that is less back and the size of a big back. This is an unusual combination, but it is not the size alone that is so powerful. This is both.”
In 18 games, including playoff games, Barkley was held under the 100 yard run just five times – he had the same number of 150 plus running days. His minimum of the season came in week 6 when Cleveland kept him in 47 yards on 18 shots.
Quinn met Barkley a lot while he was a defense manager at Dallas Cowboys when the back guard played in New York. In six matches that Cowboys DC against the then Giants again, Quinn’s defense kept Barkley for 38.3 yards in the game and he never got more than 81 yard run (ankle in week 5, 2021 got after only two loads that distort the average somewhat).
“Every time I’ve trained against him, he has been the focus,” said Quinn.
Looking at Barkley behind the Giants’ miserable offensive line and trying to keep him steady behind the best O-line in football are two completely different situations.
The defense of the commanders has eaten from the race. Washington allowed 138.9 Rush Yards in the game, including playoff games, in 30th place NFL. In the victory at Detroit last week, they could not slowly on Jahmyr Gibbs and allow the lions to hurry 201 yard and three eg. Turnover was the key to that victory. Can they rely on the same conspiracy again?
Detroit did not feed the running game early enough in the league cup. Philly won’t make the same mistake with a dead back.
